Baby Burp Blankets 

So I have been DIYing up a storm in my excitement over our sweet baby on the way. Here is one of the many items I’ve been working on and how you can make your own too.  We won’t know the gender of our baby for a couple more weeks but the prints and colors I chose translate to both sexes. I bought my fabrics at hobby lobby and Joann fabrics. They have tons of prints and I spent at least an hour browsing the selection. At least.  Begin  What you need:  Wrapping paper, yep that’s right and a marker   Fabrics in your favorite prints and colors. I had 5/8 of a yard cut in each fabric and was able to get two blankets out of each. Matching thread, pins, scissors and a sewing machine  Take a roll of wrapping paper and use it to make a pattern for your burp blankets. Madagascar Vanilla Bourbon Donuts 

   Some mornings demand donuts! My mother and sister came over to help me make some blankets for my little one. So obviously I needed to bake something delicious. These little things did the trick.  Gluten free Madagascar Vanilla Bourbon Donuts with a Cinnamon Maple Glaze  Dry ingredients:  1/2 cup coconut flour  1/4 cup tapioca flour  1/4 cup almond flour  1 tsp baking soda  1/8 tsp salt  1/2 tsp xanathan gum  Wet ingredients:  1 egg  1 cup milk  1 tsp Apple cider vinegar  1 tblsp coconut oil 1 tblsp Madagascar Vanilla Bourbon extract (if you can’t find this use regular vanilla extract)  Glaze ingredients: 2 cup confectioner sugar 1/4 milk 2 Tsp cinnamon  1/4 cup maple syrup * if you didn’t have the bourbon vanilla extract feel free to add a tsp of bourbon into your icing.  Instructions:  Add all of the dry ingredients together in a bowl and whisk them. *make sure you melt the coconut oil in the microwave for 30 seconds or so. Maternity Jeans 

Hello friends! I’m 18 weeks pregnant and I have been doing tons of DIY projects in preperation for our little one’s arrival. This project however was for my own piece of mind. I never imagined the closet melt downs that would insue after being blessed with such happy news. I mean being pregnant is amazing and I love it so much. Let’s be real though, some mornings you just want to throw on a pair of jeans and not fuss over wardrobe malfunctions. So this was my remedy. After browsing countless styles and brands of maternity jeans (some too frumpy and some stylish but far too expensive.) I decided to make my own.  Supplies: The jeans that I used were from Forever21 they were under $8. Heck yes! (I bought mine a size bigger than my pre preg jeans)  3 inch wide elastic from Joann fabrics under $4  An old tshirt (freeee) A sewing machine, thread, pins, scissors, a seam ripper Begin  Seam rip the zipper out of your jeans.
